Joann Ellen Bohn (Skindelien)

Joann was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on Jan. 22nd from complications following a stroke. She was born on Oct. 14, 1944 in Minneapolis and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1962. She wore many hats over the course of her life including in her professional life where she worked in the service industry, as an office manager and many years as an accountant for various companies including DIP Companies until her retirement in 2015. JoAnn was an active member of the Hopkin Elks Lodge where she was initiated in 2005 and completed all of the officer chairs to attain the position of Exhaulted Ruler in 2013. JoAnn is survived by her two sons, Paul (Wanda) Bohn of Burnsville, MN and Michael (Amanda) Gore of Apple Valley, MN; her sister Judy (Larry) Blaha; and four grandchildren; Nicholas Bohn, Drew Comeaux, Makayla and Kendall Gore. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florine Skindelien (Stacey), father and step-mother, Arnold and Eileen Skindelien, and brother, James Skindelien. JoAnn will be cremated and a celebration of life will take place at a later date when friends and family can gather. (Published in the Star Tribune on January 24, 2021)
