Evangeline Cecelia Evanzia-Bivins

February 26, 1940 – January 13, 2021
Born Feb. 26, 1940 and transitioned to heaven on January 13, 2021 in Edina, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her handsome and talented former husband, Roland Huston Bivins, first cousins Fred and Carol and continues to be loved by her amazing children, Dawna Maria, Antonio and Tonja Elaine, grandchildren Antonio II, Dakota Lee and Miracle Marie, great-grandchildren Tristan and Catherine and second cousins Ron, Paul and Gary Gwyn. Evangeline was a dedicated mother, nurse, and teacher in New York City. She found joy in reading mysteries, all kinds of music, creating art, interior decoration, fashion and writing. She was a strong, beautiful and talented woman who used her gifts to grow the lives of her family and of those in need. Drawn to her quick wit, wisdom and intelligence, all that met Evangeline, young and old, quickly regarded her as a friend. Her family, friends, and colleagues will miss her dearly and wish her eternal peace. Evangeline’s loving family will celebrate her life later this year by visiting her hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York, culminating in a small life-affirming gathering. In memory of Evangeline, please take time to listen to your favorite music and enjoy it fully. Clap your hands, tap your feet and bop your head to the joyful rhythms of life!
