August 27, 1969 – December 16, 2020
Age 51 of Minneapolis, passed away unexpectedly on December 15th after years struggling with mental illness and could not find peace. He is now free of his turmoil and has joined loved ones in heaven. Preceded in death by father, Don; sister, Amy and mother, Joan. Survived by sister, Jill Weldon (Ted); nieces, Erika Gensler (Jessica), Andrea Weldon; Uncles Ron Grand (Linda), Curt Grand (Millie); cousin, Taylor Ann Grand. Erik loved his family, and his beloved cat, Maggie May. He had a passion for music, movies, going to concerts, riding his bike, the Minnesota Twins and spending time with his mom. He was a hard worker and touched many lives with his kindness. Private interment to be scheduled in 2021. (Published in the Star Tribune on December 23, 2020)
