Deanna Lynn Schleisman
August 25, 1968 – December 14, 2020
Age 52, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2020, in Edina, MN. Deanna was born in Minneapolis, MN to Bonita and Fulton Schleisman. Deanna was a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities area, most recently residing in Prior Lake, MN with her partner, Patrick Rubin. Deanna graduated from North High School in Minneapolis and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas University and master’s degree from Hamline University. Deanna was a very hard working and savvy single mother. She raised two successful, smart, beautiful daughters, to whom she devoted her life. She was immensely proud of her daughters. She was friendly, outgoing, and had a great sense of humor. She loved to entertain, often throwing massive events for her friends and family. She was always the life of the party. In recent years she developed a love for travel and was looking forward to visiting France. She has touched many people with her generosity, kindness, and love. Deanna will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Deanna is survived by her daughters: Alyssa and Ciara Newton; her partner: Patrick Rubin; her parents: Bonita and Fulton Schleisman; her siblings: Lisa, Linda, Damon, and Jason Schleisman; her nieces and nephews: Ryan, Kessia, Mason, Justin, and Katrina; and her beloved dog Aidan.
