Deena Joy Garven (Anderson)

May 24, 1952 – December 7, 2020
Age 68 of Farmington, passed on December 7 after a brief, but agonizing fight with ALS. She is preceded in death by her daughter Britta, her parents Dolores and Lloyd and her brother Darryl. She is survived by her sons Casey, Cory, Bryan (JoAnn), her grandchildren Hayley and Jack (Casey), her siblings Larry (Kim), Becky (Andrew), Wayne (Cammy) and Cory (Jill), and her best friend Jan Hetland (Tom). Deena was born on May 24, 1952 and attended Richfield High school. After graduation, she went on to attend the University of Minnesota and eventually an illustrious career with Northwest Airlines as a flight attendant, where she claims to have been hit on by Hulk Hogan, Bill Cosby, Lou Nanne and perhaps even Bill Clinton. We do not vouch for the veracity of these claims and will not be held liable for repeating ancient lore. Deena was a free spirit, known for her intoxicating laugh and sense of humor. Deena loved anything outdoor related and held a special place in her heart for the family cabin in Longville. A short outdoor service will be held at 1 p.m., December 23 at Dawn Valley Cemetery (9940 Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington – meet at the chapel) with a memorial service to follow- location TBD.
