Age 91 of Little Canada, with family by his side, passed away peacefully on 11/23/2020. Born 3/15/1929 in Crookston, MN to Albert & Clara Arel. Preceded in death by his wife Jean (Bolger), sons Joe & Tim, 4 brothers & 3 sisters. Survived by children, Gene, Carol, Eileen (Randy) Jansen, Linda (John) Olson, Patrick, Michelle (Dan) Duffy, 9 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren, sister Irene Lamere and many nieces and nephews. Rosy served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired from the Minnesota National Guard in 1992 as a Master Sergeant. Rosy was a devoted family man. He was an avid sports fan of all MN teams, pro and college. He was a past president of New Brighton Eagles Aerie 3718 and a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed road trips with Pat and Tim to National and State Parks. A joint mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John the Evangelist Church in Little Canada on Friday, 12/04/2020 for Rosaire and Timothy (full obituary 5/3/2020). Visitation 10:00 am and Mass at 11:00 am. Social distancing and safety measures will be followed. Mass will be live streamed on facebook.com/SaintJohnChurchofLittleCanada/ Interment for Rosaire will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery when Covid restrictions have been lifted.
