Susan Caroline Thorson (Staber)

October 31, 1938 – November 20, 2020
Age 82 of Mahtomedi. passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. Sue grew up in South Minneapolis cherishing her very close group of friends who remained dear to her throughout her life. She graduated from West High in 1956 and was voted homecoming queen. Sue was an exceptional mother, grandmother and wife. She and her husband Terry have been married for 59 years, exemplifying a beautiful and everlasting love affair. Sue is survived by her husband, Terry; son, Charlie (Sarah); daughter, Heather (Tim); grandchildren, Kacy, Sue, and Kit; stepgrandchildren, Madie, Michael, Tyler, Emma, and Layla. She was preceded in death by her sons, Joe and Ty. A celebration of Sue’s life is planned for this spring at Bunny’s, imbibing in her favorite Brandy Manhattan cocktails and Bunny’s burgers.
