Lon Dwight Tharaldson

Age 71 of Excelsior, and formerly of Belle Plaine, MN, passed away on October 10th, 2020 from cancer. A memorial plaque will be placed at East Zion Lutheran Church in Starbuck, MN and a private family service will take place at a later date. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann, children: Leif (Eva), Erik, Kjerstin (Mike); grandchildren, Samantha, Hanna, Niklas and Elyjah (Bear); and siblings: Ernie, Harbee, Lynn, Delan, Donovan and Vicky and many nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Alice; and siblings, Omer, Marjorie, Jean, and Irene. Lon was a master plumber by trade, had the heart of a farmer and the skill of an engineer. He was a devoted father and grandfather who will be missed by all. (Published in the Star Tribune on October 18, 2020)
