Virginia Lois Johnson (Lieder)

January 3, 1928 – August 30, 2020
Age 92 Of Brooklyn Center, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2020. Preceded in death by husband, Robert; brothers Norman, James, Leon; sisters Neoma, Marcella. Survived by sons, Mark (Merrilee), Michael (Wendy) and James (Linda); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Nicholas; sisters-in-law Helen Lieder and Arlene Turnblom; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Monica Restrepo. Virginia and Robert married Sept. 3, 1950; she was just a few days shy of her 70th wedding anniversary. She had a gift for raising and nurturing all children as if they were her own. She will be deeply missed by many, and for someone who never missed a funeral herself, it comes as tragic irony to her family that they will not be able to have one for her at this time. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be held Sept. 21 at 11:30. Celebration of Life TBD. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association.
