Hannah Andrea Gildemeister of Bogota, Colombia passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2020 at the age of 20. Hannah was preceded in death by her grandfathers, David Gildemeister and Len Timmerman; & grandmother, Ruth Timmerman. Hannah is survived by her grandmother, Betty Gildemeister; her parents, Beth Gildemeister and Brian Gildemeister; and her brother, Luke Gildemeister. Hannah was born on March 8, 2000 in Bogota, Colombia. She was raised in Plymouth, Minnesota and attended Wayzata Public Schools and P.E.A.S.E Academy. Hannah graduated from Wayzata High School in 2018. She was most recently a student at North Hennepin Community College, where she developed a keen interest in psychology. Growing up, Hannah pursued many sports, including hockey, horse-riding, soccer, and gymnastics. She was a pet-lover who relished her time working at Chuck and Don’s Pet Food & Supplies in Plymouth. Hannah’s pets included a golden retriever, fish, and a female bearded dragon named Paul! Hannah was passionate about ceramics and water-color painting. She was also a water-enthusiast, spending hours in the pool as a child. Her passion for swimming evolved into her working as a swim instructor at Foss Swim School. Hannah had a natural gift in communicating with others, especially children. She loved working as a nanny, where she attentively cared for three beautiful neighborhood boys. Hannah will be lovingly remembered for her lively spirit and unapologetic authenticity – she wore her heart on her sleeve. Fiercely independent and extremely resourceful, Hannah moved through life undaunted. She was small yet mighty. Hannah’s compassion for others led her to always look out for the underdog. She lived her life with an adventurous spirit. Her radiant smile and heart-warming giggle will be deeply missed by many, and she will always be loved. A public Celebration of Life service will be held outdoors at a private residence on Saturday, September 19 from 1pm – 4pm. Social-distance guidelines will be followed.
