Special thanks to Kathy Kaufman, Pat Kuss, Marilyn Zebe, and Cheryl Gilbertson for their help and friendship over the years. Phyllis was born in Minneapolis and moved to California to be near her mother Frances Lewis during the war. She had many stories about being one of the Rosie the Riveter women during the war. She loved to travel and after retiring spent many winters in Arizona. Phyllis was happiest being around family and friends and enjoyed having many gatherings. She will be remembered for her generosity and her great sense of humor. We loved her so much and she will be greatly missed by all of us. Many thanks to the staff at Autumn Glen and St. Croix Hospice. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society. Due to health and safety concerns around COVID 19, a Memorial Service has been postponed. (Published in the Star Tribune on May 24, 2020)
