Delores “Dolly” Elizabeth Douglas (Beastrom)

Delores E. “Dolly” passed away peacefully May 19th, 2020 at Copperfield Hill Memory Care in Robbinsdale, Minnesota at the age of 89. Delores was born on June 14th, 1930, the daughter of Benjamin and Maxine Beastrom and spent her early years in Hazelton, North Dakota. The family moved to Minnesota in 1937. After graduating from North High School in Minneapolis, she married James Douglas (later divorced) and moved to Modesto California. Delores and James had two children, Lynn (Douglas) Pepple and Russel Douglas. After moving back to Minnesota, she started her own secretarial service business. Delores was an accomplished artist painting with all kinds of media, mostly oil on canvas. She loved sharing her work with others and participating in several arts shows. Delores was active in service to others. She volunteered at the USO lounge at the Minneapolis Airport and was an active member at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. Delores was the key organizer for her North High graduating class reunions. She was dedicated to her family genealogy and served as the secretary for the huge Beastrom Family reunions for many years. She so enjoyed traveling and especially trips to the reunions to visit with all the relatives. Delores is survived by siblings Beverly (Beastrom) Hill of Enfield CT, Ralph Beastrom of Harmony, MN, Donald Beastrom of Minneapolis; grandsons Adrian Abramshuk of St. Louis Park and Rusty Douglas of Minneapolis; great grandson Greyson James Douglas. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lynn, son Russel and brother Ronald. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
