Lawrence “Larry” Lamont Harmer
April 13, 1947 – April 11, 2020
Passed away at home on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at the age of 72, losing his battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. Larry was born on April 13, 1947 in Minneapolis MN. In 1973 he married Arlyne Burdick and they raised 2 children in Circle Pines, MN. He was a mechanic and then worked for Abrasive Specialists Inc for 30 years. He enjoyed race car driving in his younger years, later in life he liked to golf, watch Nascar and the Minnesota Gophers to pass the time. Oh and of course he always enjoyed a nice cold beer! Preceded in death by his parents LaMont and June Harmer, granddaughter Frankie Brewster, brother Randy Harmer and nephew Dean Harmer. Larry will be lovingly missed by his wife of 46 years Arlyne Harmer, daughters Jackie (Scott) Reinertson, Dawn (Dan) Brewster and grandchildren Austin Reinertson (Megan) and Kaitlyn Reinertson; Cora, Carlyne, Jacob, Ella Brewster and his PCA of 3 years-Val Griffis. There will be a Celebration of Life and committal service at Fort Snelling Cemetery determined at a later date.
