Carol Marie Neale (née Moret)

On April 2nd, Carol M. Neale passed away peacefully at her home after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 61 years old. Carol was born on August 9th, 1958 to Nick and Arlene Moret in Fargo, N.D. She was the forth of five children. After finishing high school she graduated from Moorhead Technical College with a legal secretarial degree. Carol began her career at Lutheran Social Services in Fargo focusing on their new hospice program and soon met her future husband Dan Neale. Carol and Dan were married in May of 1985 and spent a year travelling together working mostly in the music business. After relocating to St. Paul, MN Carol was offered a position at Norwest Bank upon completion of a temporary work project. She remained at Norwest and Wells Fargo until 2005. She then began a 19 year career at TCF Equipment Finance. Carol was a long time member of Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church in Arden Hills, MN She sang in choir and also performed in a hand bell ensemble. Carol served on various committees including a St. Paul Area Synod board assisting Bishop Mark Hanson. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Nick Moret. She leaves behind her mother, Arlene Moret, siblings Mark Moret and his wife, Pamela. Paul Moret and his wife, Sandra, Linda Lopez and her husband, Manuel and John Moret and his wife Lae. She is also survived by her husband of 34 years Dan Neale, his brother Joe Neale and his wife Melanie, son Barry L. Peterson and his wife Cassandra Van Heel and grandson Vincent Van Heel. Carol also leaves numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss her very much. In accordance with shelter in place protocols, memorial services will be arranged at a later date yet to be determined. (Published in the Star Tribune on April 12, 2020)
