Melinda Kay Macy

July 15, 1954 – March 28, 2020
Age 65 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at home on March 28th. After multiple surgeries for an intestinal obstruction, it was her wish to enter hospice at home where she was attended to by her husband of 37 years, Ned McCraine. Born in Denver, CO on July 15th 1954, Mindy received her BA in Social Work at Hamline. She is survived by son Kevin McCraine, and brother Mark Macy of Ocala, Florida. Her organizational skills helped connect family, friends, and neighbors. Mindy will be remembered for her upbeat attitude and bravery in facing any obstacle. She always had a fondness for all things water; swimming, dining at lakeside restaurants, or enjoying time on the water. Not surprisingly, she spent nearly her entire life in the land of 10,000 lakes. (Published in the Star Tribune on April 5, 2020)
