Gordon Leroy Love

July 22, 1936 – March 29, 2020
Age 83 of Richfield. Preceded in death by parents, Frances and Clifton, brothers James and David; wives Beverlee and Jeanne; daughters Rocci Love and Barbara Jarski. He is survived by children: Debbie (Rick) Bagley, Bill (Patti Neiman-Love) Love, Kathy (Daren Anderson) Love and Michael (Ashley) Love; siblings: Patricia Love Bird, Mary Love Wright, Robert Love and Gary Love; grandchildren Kati, Sal, Billy, Betsy, Allison, Jennifer, Laura, Elizabeth, Nicole, Manya, Anya, Connor, Madilyn, Great grandchildren: Stoney, Emily, Joe, Gabe, Maddie, Cameron, Hunter, Graham, Riley, Claire, Jason, Max, many nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Biggs. A life-long south Minneapolis resident, Gordon attended Roosevelt High School before enlisting in the Army. He served in the 11th Airborne with honor. Gordon owned or operated a number of bars in the metro area – the Duck Inn, Shakers, and the Lake Inn. He was a talented musician playing in a variety of country bands. Interment will be at Ft Snelling with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date. (Published in the Star Tribune on April 1, 2020)
