Gerald Eugene Vinje

September 27, 1930 – March 24, 2020
Age 89 of Minneapolis, passed away March 24th, 2020. Born in Granite Falls on September 27th, 1930. Gerald proudly served his country in the military during the Korean War. He also worked for The City of Minneapolis for 30 years before retiring in 1988. Survived by his children Lynn Vinje (Claire), Keith Vinje (Margaret), Scott Vinje (Anita), Kurt Vinje (Gail); grandchildren Melanie Pauly, Michael Hardy, Alex and Sydney Vinje, Kaleigh, Taylor and Sienna Vinje, Ashley and Kurt Thomas Vinje. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatta, (6) brothers and (2) sisters. Jerry will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, infectious smile and love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him. Details of his celebration of life will be determined at a later date. (Published in the Star Tribune on April 5, 2020)
