Holm, Janet Carol (nee Bartager)

Age 93 of Golden Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday March 1, 2020 She was born December 11, 1926 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to Louis and Emma Bratager. Janet enjoyed over 93 years of life including: marriage, parenthood, family, Parkway United Church of Christ, bridge, golf, cabin life, friends, travels, listening to & watching Twins games. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Wilbur Holm. Loved immensely by her children Sally Turrittin (John), Paul Holm, grandchildren Laura Turrittin (Travis), Jeff Turrittin (Ashley), Dan Holm. great grand-children: Tucker, Mari, and Claire Turrittin, Nora Turrittin. Janet met Wilbur “Bill” Holm at Minnesota Title and they married June 22, 1946. They made a home in Robbinsdale and raised Sally and Paul there. Janet and Bill owned their first cabin in Annandale and later Hayward, Wisconsin. “Going to the lake” was a key part of her life. It was a place to relax, welcome family and friends, find recreation, sit on the deck taking in the view, discuss tee times, go for boat rides, and make strong coffee. She lived life with loyalty, care, love, and a healthy streak of competitiveness. We would like to thank the care staff at Covenant Living Assisted Living and the Park Nicollet hospice team.
