Dahl, Norma Marie (nee Nystrom)
May 19, 1924 – February 22, 2020
Age 95 of Anoka. She is survived by husband, Dean Dahl; son, Robert (Liz) Dahl; daughter, Karen (Mike) Hermanson; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Long, Carl Hermanson, Rachel Hermanson; great grandchildren, Cora & Renee Long. She is preceded in death by her sister, Lois Engler. Norma spent her childhood in rural North Dakota before attending and graduating from UND in 1946 with a degree in Business Administration. She went on to work as an executive assistant for the CFO at Dayton’s Department Store but her true life’s work was her family. She was married in 1949 and lived with husband Dean in Richfield for 56 years. She was an active member of P.E.O. for 50 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading and especially spending time with family. Norma was a kind, gentle and selfless soul. She was always cheerful and able to raise the spirits of any room she was in. Although she was afflicted with Rheumatoid Arthritis for most of her adult life, she never focused on her problems and always carried herself with the utmost grace. She was a bit playful with a wonderful sense of how to tease without ever being hurtful. Norma will be remembered for her loving nature, her sense of humor, her graciousness, her positive attitude, and her smile. Memorial service Monday March 2nd 11 am, visitation 1 hour prior at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 14501 Nowthen Blvd NW, Ramsey. Memorials preferred to the Arthritis National Research Foundation.
