Ruehling, Ann Margaret

June 25, 1951 – January 28, 2020
Age 68 of Minneapolis, passed peacefully at her home into eternal life on January 28, 2020 after a four-month battle with metastatic breast cancer. Preceded in death by her parents Caldwell and Leona Ruehling, Ann is survived by her husband Gary L. Emmers; sister Ruth Mickelson (Richard Lock); and brothers Martin Ruehling and John (Maryann) Ruehling; and many nieces and nephews. Ann worked as an executive secretary for the Scott County Board (Shakopee); BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota (Eagan); as an independent meetings and event planner in her own business; and at the Minnesota Humanities Center (St. Paul). She was an exceptional and talented woman; kind, gentle and caring with a smile always on her face; a warm and loving presence with positive compliments for everyone. She will be greatly missed but the love and empathy she brought to the world and to her family, friends and community will never be forgotten as her legacy will live on through them. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for early summer when details will be shared privately with family and friends. Memorials preferred to the Angel Foundation (mnangel.org), which provides emergency financial grant assistance to breast cancer victims. (Published in the Star Tribune on February 16, 2020)
