Perkins, Carol Ann (nee Jepsen)
October 16, 1936 – January 28, 2020
Age 83 of Bloomington, born in Denison, Iowa on October 16, 1936, to Hugo and Violet Jepsen. She passed peacefully with her family at her side on January 28, 2020. In those 83 years, she touched many lives. She is survived by her sister Terry Hagen, brother Jerry Jepsen her children Kim Johnson & Stephanie (Mike) Burley, by her grandchildren Anna Drexl, Kyle Johnson, Christina (Ryan) Lill, Justin Murphy, Jody Johnson, eight great grandchildren, and her beloved terrier Corky. Carol’s creativity shone in her water colors, needlework, bead design and poetry. She inspired and taught others and especially enjoyed encouraging artistic talent in her grandchildren. She was adventuresome and unafraid to stumble, taking pride in learning how to overcome challenges. Carol was a renowned astrologer and lover of books – two passions evidenced in her New Moon Bookshop. She loved conversation, good food and all people. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John Perkins, her parents, stepfather Eddie Kerling and brother David Jepsen.
