Prozinski, Janet Mathilda (nee Smith)

January 26, 1924 – January 3, 2020
Age 95, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Jan 3, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents Ezra R. Smith and Mabel A. Smith (née O’Brien). She will be deeply missed by her children: David, Michael (Vicki), Dan (Sue Park), Steven, Kathleen; grandchildren Benjamin, Jason, Lauren, Emmeline, Oona; great-grandchildren Ezra and Remi; and a large circle of family and friends. Janet graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth with a BSN and spent the last years of her career as a nurse with Saint Therese of New Hope. Janet lived her Catholic faith as a caregiver to family and friends; she led by example with an open home, open heart, and a lifetime of volunteering and giving. She loved a good joke and she loved to play card games. There will be a pot of freshly brewed coffee waiting for you, Janet, in heaven! Visitation at 10:30 am followed by funeral Mass 11:30 am on Tuesday, Jan 14th at Saint Anthony of Padua Chapel / Catholic Eldercare 813 NE Main St, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Burial will be planned for this spring, next to her parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Memorials preferred to Saint Anthony of Padua Chapel.
