Keller, David Lamar

Keller, David Lamar

November 16, 1951 – December 17, 2019
Age 68 of Edina, is now celebrating his life with our Lord Jesus Christ starting on December 17, 2019, at the age of 68, but his larger-than-life persona and positive outlook will not be forgotten. He was born on November 16, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the oldest son of Merlin Lamar Keller and the late Ruth Marie Keller. He is survived by his father Merlin, Beverly MacKenzie (partner), siblings Sheerie Keller, Delores (Paul) Rivenburg, Philip Keller & his dearly loved sons, Paul and Steven, from his first marriage to Cindy Keller. In the last few years, David’s fight with cancer was getting the best of him. His devout feistiness and stubbornness had served him well throughout his life. And even in his waning months, he was a model of strong will and sheer determination right up until the end of his journey here on earth. His all consuming passion in his life was his work. David will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Heartfelt thanks go to Fairview Hospice staff, as well as Beverly MacKenzie, his dearly loved and faithful partner, who provided much more than just comfort for David, but also provided a sense of humor, peace and tranquility during his transition from this life into the next. The memorial service will be deferred over the holidays and scheduled for a date in February 2020, to be announced. (Published in the Star Tribune on December 22, 2019)
