Nelson, William Bruce

Age 82 of Minneapolis. Passed away peacefully December 11, 2019 surrounded by his family. Bruce was born July 22, 1937 to Walter and Melvie Nelson in Hallock, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Walter “Paul”, sisters-in-law Irene and Livy, niece Jenny and nephews Brad, Robbie and Brian. He is survived by Mavis, his wife of 55 years, daughters Julie Smith (Greg) and Paula Oxford (Rod Criego), grandchildren Brendan (Hannah), Ellie, George and Sam, nephew Paul “Terry” Nelson, niece Debra Raff and cousin LaVonne Lundeen. Services will be held at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, 5011 31st Ave. S. Thursday, December 19, at noon with visitation one hour prior. (Published in the Star Tribune on December 15, 2019)
