Gartner, Helen Joyce (Hadley) (nee Anderson)

November 3, 1931 – November 6, 2019
Age 88, of Blaine, passed away peacefully November 6 with her two daughters by her side. Preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, two step grandchildren and her two loving husbands, George Hadley and Herman Gartner. Helen was a long time employee at Robbinsdale DMV and a tax preparer at H & R Block for 30 years. She achieved her Enrolled Agent status which is the highest credential given by the IRS. She loved taxes, flowers, shopping, Facebook, Mystic Lake Casino and her grandkids. Helen is survived by her daughters, April Hadley Hanson (Brian) and Jennifer McCarty (Jason); grandchildren, Hadley & Hunter Hanson and Casey & Chloe McCarty; remaining siblings, step children and step grandchildren. Helen’s end of life wishes to never be in a nursing home and have a non traditional funeral were honored. Private interment at Fort Snelling Wed., Nov. 13, followed by a Celebration of Life 4-7pm, Bunker Hills Golf Club, Blaine. In lieu of flowers, go buy yourself some scratch offs. Helen would approve.
