Lidberg, Bruce Julian
September 5, 1950 – August 23, 2019
Age 68 of Minneapolis. Passed away peacefully with his brother at his side on August 23, 2019 after battling autoimmune disease, COPD, lung cancer, and finally pneumonia. Preceded by father John Ralph Lidberg and mother Dorothy Enone Smith, both from Hibbing, MN. Survived by his brother James M Lidberg, niece Heather Andrade with grand nephews Dillon and Dalton and grand niece Lilly, and niece Shannon Louise Lidberg with grand niece Louisa, all in Arizona, cousin Siri Larson of North Carolina. Born in Minneapolis September 5 1950, never married, Bruce was raised in the Mound area, a high school chemist and math whizz. He had an intense love of music, was privately tutored and performed as First French Horn in Orchestra, and had him learning guitar, bass, flugelhorn, and trumpet by ear and composing sheet music. While at the Univeristy of Minnesota he studied Electrical Engineering and performed French Horn in the Marching Band. He loved the blues and joined the Mojo Buford Blues Band performing bass guitar in the Twin Cities. Bruce worked at Goodwill Industries in Hopkins for a long time before retiring. Later in life he paintied water colors and oils, sharing them with friends and family. He always enjoyed Christmases with his family in Arizona from the deserts of Phoenix to the forests of Flagstaff & Williams, to the edge of the Grand Canyon and with relatives near Seligman.
