Friedman, John Robert

Age 78 of Plymouth. John was born on April 17, 1941 to Robert and Mildred Friedman in St. Paul, MN. He grew up on Lake Gervais, attended Ramsey High School, Valparaiso University and Harvard Law School. He was a corporate attorney at Briggs and Morgan for many years. John always had a thirst for knowledge and was a very avid reader. He also had a strong love for cars, especially his convertibles. He enjoyed stamp collecting, science fiction, and eating out. John loved to travel and instilled this passion in his kids at very young ages. They enjoyed family trips to places including The Dells, Mackinac and Sanibel Island, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Manzanillo. John later traveled to many destinations around the world, his favorites included India, China and Thailand. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob), mother Mildred, and brother Sam. John is survived by his former wife, Audrey, by his three children, Eric (Jessica), Paul (Renee) and Jennifer. He is survived by eight grandchildren, Blake, Ashley, Cole, Sophie, Paige, Ella, Sam and Luke. A private funeral is being held by family.
