Wik, Thomas Nelson
September 21, 1953 – December 7, 2018
Age 65 of Minneapolis. Tom’s talent in photography was recognized with grants from the McKnight Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative. His superb craftsmanship lives on in the many beautiful kitchens, baths, and additions he built throughout Minneapolis, St Paul, and NYC. Tom’s searing ability to see goodness helped each of us, and at the same time was his hedge against the darkness. His steadfast friendship, high standards, ingenious humor and full-on participation in life drew us to him. Though we are all, at the moment, unmoored, we will not remain so. As Tom would say “You’re better than that.” Jean Fraser, wife of 33 years; Gail Fraser, sister-in-law; Mary Wik Gonser, sister; and a host of friends from coast to coast now bid him farewell.
