Pearson, John Hugo
April 9, 1942 – January 5, 2019
Age 76 of St. Paul. Fondly known as “Johnny” or “JP”, he was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lillian (Formoe) and Hugo Pearson on April 9,1942. He loved reading, history, and the New York Times crossword puzzle. He was a beloved patron of Great Waters Brewing Company, and preferred dark beer. Having visited Europe over thirty times, he adored travel; especially his favorite city, London. He was the quintessential urban dweller, and friends say that he had an encyclopedic knowledge of the Twin Cities. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan; and wife, Beverly Winnie. He is survived by his daughter Amy Clapp (Dod); his grandchildren Pearson and Presley; his sister Nancy Hanson; nephews Tim (Joan) Hanson, Mark (Elena) Hanson; and niece Karen Riebel (Andrew).
