Kildow, Dawn Rene’
July 20, 1970 – December 26, 2018
Age 48 of Saint Paul. Passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 after a 2.5 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving family: parents Esther “Joan” S. Kildow and William “Bill” F. Kildow; sister Kristal A. Cutler (Kildow) brother-in-law Robert S. Cutler; nieces Sarah K. Mason and Rachel A. Cutler; nephew Robert W. Cutler; great-nephew Lawrence Joseph Cutler; great-nieces Juliahna Kristal M. Cutler and Ivey Rene’ Mason; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dawn was born in Lancaster, CA on July 20, 1970. She was active in many community/church/school organizations and activities including Job’s Daughters Bethel No. #209, First Baptist Church Choirs, Park View Junior High School Band, District Jazz Band, Antelope Valley High School Basketball, and photography. She was a Valedictorian for the AVHS Class of 1988. Dawn earned a Bachelor Degree from Chapman University and attained a Master’s Degree at UCLA. She worked at multiple institutions of higher learning in the course of her career including Chapman University, Cal State LA, UCLA, and the University of Minnesota. She worked as a Credentials Analyst at Chapman University, UCLA, and Cal State LA; was the Teacher Education Program Coordinator for the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies at UCLA; and as Administrative Director in the Law Library in the University of Minnesota Law School. Dawn was an intelligent, witty, caring, and beloved person who brought joy to her family and her many good friends. She was generous with her time, talent, and treasures. She had a wickedly wonderful sense of humor, was well-read, enjoyed travel, enjoyed playing card games and board games, and dearly loved her relatives especially the little ones. She was a self-described sports enthusiast and loved all things sports especially her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Duke Blue Devils. She enjoyed yearly excursions to her much-loved Twin Lakes, CA and enjoyed “camping” at crazy, chaotic Camp Cutler, KS. She loved her beautiful vintage home in Saint Paul, MN and all of the sports, arts, and delights that living in the Twin Cities afforded her. She was deeply loved, lived life on her own terms and will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. At Dawn’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
