Henry, Jan Robert
November 17, 1945 – November 28, 2018
Age 73 of Bloomington. He was born on November 17, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1966-1972. His love of and enthusiasm for people, dogs, travel, technology, cars, planes, sports, and the occasional scotch made him a natural conversationalist and an instant friend to many. Above all, he would like to be remembered most for being a proud father and grandpa. Jan was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Greenlee Henry (at childbirth); father, James Robert; and stepmother, Catherine Macbeth Henry. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Robert and Tyler Philip; former spouse and mother of sons, Donna Jean; granddaughter, Savana Hope; sister, Jane Henry Workman; niece, Gillian Clark Workman (Jon) Stein; nephew, James Henry (Julie) Workman; and many more loving relatives and dear, devoted friends. A very special thank you to the staff at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and the Rochester Mayo Clinic for the incredible care and support they provided Jan, drastically improving the quality of his last years of life. Jan’s family welcomes you to celebrate his life. Memorial service at 2pm, Dec. 15, Cremation Society of MN (7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435, 952-924-4100). Visitation starting at 1pm.
