Dehaan, Yvonne “Bonnie” Kay (nee Golden )
November 9, 1950 – September 16, 2019
Age 68 of Coon Rapids. Bonnie got her final coverall on O-68! She was called up to Heaven to have her card checked on September 16, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota and it was a good Bingo! She was 68 years young! She was born at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis on November 9th, 1950 to Reynold “Ray” and Marcella “Sally” Golden, and then was lovingly brought home to Blaine. Bonnie graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1969. She then married a fellow Coon Rapids High Alumni, Richard “Rick” Dehaan in 1972 at Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. Bonnie and Rick chose to reside and raise their 4 children in Andover and Blaine for most of their adult lives. Bonnie worked for Smiths Medical in Arden Hills, retiring after 26 loyal years there. She truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures and her devotion to family. Bonnie had the uncanny ability to always win at bingo and other games of chance, which she absolutely loved. Bowling and PEPSI were just a couple of things that she could not live without, along with crocheting blankets for whatever special occasion came along where one was needed. Her tuna salad will be missed by many. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Rick of 47 years; children; Janice (Ryan) Knapp, Clayton (Stephanie) Dehaan, Brent (April) Dehaan, Jennifer (Jason) Stodolka; 10 grandchildren; Danielle, McKayla, Ashley, Sydney, Alyssa, Aric, Hannah, Remington, Giles, Carli; siblings, Butch (Vernie) Golden, Bev (Don) Fowler, Mike (Pat) Golden, Betty (Curt) Craig; and many nieces, nephews and friends that adored her. Preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Sally. Per her wishes, Bonnie was cremated, and her ashes will be combined with her loving husband’s when the two of them can be forever together again. Interment will then take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at her favorite bingo spot, on Sunday, September 29th from 11am to 3pm at CR Billiards, 8525 Cottonwood Street NW, Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Memorials preferred.
