Dahl, Alan Nelson
March 23, 1934 – March 6, 2019
Age 84 of Plymouth, personally met Jesus on March 6th, 2019 and was reunited in heaven with parents, Mel and Audrey Dahl, brother Don and infant son Daniel. He was a loving father to children David (Lehua), Debi (Steve) Blandino, and DeDe. He was very close to his sister and friend, Leanne (Joe) Dotson of St Paul and proud grandfather of Cory, Quinn, Collin, Christian, Bethany, Daniel and Ryan. He will also be missed by Cousins Diane, Janice, Gerri and the many other lives he touched. Alan grew up in Robbinsdale, graduated from Minneapolis Central and the University of MN. He went on to marry Sharon Pariseau Hinz and set up roots in Brooklyn Center. He earned a living working for Minnegasco as a tech writer, and as a professional photographer, for which he had an exceptional talent. Alan’s parents were in show business, providing plenty of photo ops for the young talent and it’s possible that he captured them all. A few were published in the Strib when Alan was just a teen. He went on to take photos of accident scenes, weddings, and even funerals (for officers killed in the line of duty). He was an active volunteer for Hennepin County Sheriff’s Dept. and LEMA MN. Alan enjoyed old movies, “good” music, fishing on MN lakes, and had an unmatched knowledge of vitamins. More than anything, he loved his family and making people laugh. Thank you for lifting our spirits no matter the circumstances and ALWAYS being there when we needed you. Memorial Service Saturday, March 23rd, 11am, Parkers Lake Baptist Church, 14720 County Road 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. (Published in the Star Tribune on Mar. 20, 2019).
