Vanatta, Jack Robert

Age 69 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2018. Born in Anchorage, AK; Vietnam War veteran. A quiet and ever present man, Jack was loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed music, movies, airplanes, F1 racing, his classic Lincoln / Ducati, and work in metal industries. His legacy will be his contribution to computer science, forever giving freely of his knowledge. Preceded in death by mother, M. Elizabeth; brother, Jay. Survived by wife, Julia (Lundmark); daughter, Charlotte (Terry) Pilling; father, Robert “Van”; brother-in-law, Jack (Jay) Bowdan; two cats, “Dog” and Thatcher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life will be held Sat. June 23, 11 am at Epworth UMC, 3207 37th Ave S, Mpls. Visitation one hour before service. Memorials preferred to Masonic Cancer Center, U of M.
