Potter, Geraldine Grace (nee Pope)
September 16, 1931 – April 11, 2018
Age 86 of Roseville. With family by her side, Geri passed away April 11, 2018. Geraldine (Geri) was born September 1931 in Toronto Canada. Graduate of Ontario Hospital Training School For Nurses in Whitby June 12, 1953 and then worked in the Toronto General Hospital. Married Karl H. R. Potter in 1953 and were together until Karl’s death in 2005. Geri and family emigrated from Canada to the United States in 1963. Lived in Minnetonka from 1963 till 1995. Obtained her Minnesota Registered Nursing Certification and practiced as a private nurse. Geri and Karl both obtained their US Citizenship. In 1995 they retired to Perdido Key, FL. then moved to Surprise, AZ in 2000. Geri moved to Roseville, MN in 2011 to be closer to family. Always kind with a sharp wit, Geri will be missed by the many friends she made along her life’s journey. Geraldine will be deeply missed by her loving children: Mark C. (Patricia), Karl T. (partner Elaina Jellum); grandchildren: Mark Potter, Matthew Potter, Michael (Chanida) Potter and great grandchildren: Zachary, Coraline and Rohan. Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Grace Pope, siblings, Meryl, Theodore (Elsie), Marilyn and Robert. A life remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 17 at the Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 West County Rd C2, Roseville. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. A light lunch will follow. Memorials to “Alzheimer’s Speaks” preferred. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at The Arbor for their kindness, patience and friendship they showed to Geri and the family.
