Grobel, Marion Arlene (nee Chovan)

July 26, 1939 – August 7, 2018
Age 79 of Minnitrista, passed away peacefully on August 7th after a battle with cancer. Born on her family farm near Black-duck in 1939, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Grobel; parents, John and Susan Chovan; and her siblings, Elmer & John Chovan and Beverly McKay. Marion is survived by her 3 children, Steven (Amy) Nelson, Mark (Jill) Nelson and Timothy (Kim) Nelson; 2 step-children, Tony (Sarah) Grobel and Carrie (Michael) Niklow; 14 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives & life-long friends. Marion always had a passion for life & spending time in the garden growing all types of vegetables and flowers, and will be missed dearly. The family will be celebrating Marion’s life in a small private gathering. (Published in the Star Tribune on August 12, 2018).
