Wiome, Mathias Gary

Wiome, Mathias Gary

October 20, 1942 – April 27, 2017
Age 74 of Brooklyn Park. Preceded in death by parents Mildred and Mathias. Lovingly missed by beloved wife of 52 years Marlene, children Christopher (Karen), Melissa, grandchildren Zachary and Alexis, sister Diane Topness (Marvin), many close friends and relatives, and two adoring dogs (Jimmy Lincoln and Jackson). Gary was blessed with the kind of life you might see in a movie and huff “that’s too good to be true.” A Vice President at Bell Bank, Gary viewed his colleagues as friends and family, having worked with many for over forty years and mentoring countless others with wisdom and kindness. But the heart of Gary’s life was his close family. They ran as a pack. Gary never missed a family event, a game or a chance to celebrate. Gary knew how to laugh, play, and live large. So it makes sense that when not working or attending events, Gary whisked his family around the world. Gary grew up traveling, and it proved one of his life’s defining passions. Name a place – he’s been there, frequently, and with his family. An explorer to his core, he spent his last days finalizing plans and saying good-byes, as if preparing to embark on one last grand adventure. And so with great love and gratitude, we bid au revoir to a life extremely well lived. Funeral service 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, with visitation one hour prior to service at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave North Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
