Tetrick, Kenneth Hugh

October 4, 1946 – February 20, 2017
Age 70 of Minneapolis. Ken was born in Boscobel, WI to Kathryn Christina (Boebel) Tetrick and Walter Kenneth Tetrick. He attended grade school in Woodman, WI and graduated from Boscobel High School in 1964. The launch of Sputnik on Ken’s 11th birthday inspired a life-long interest in physics and astronomy. Ken studied at Luther College in Decorah, IA, and The University of Minnesota. He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ken deeply pursued a series of interests including computer programming, photography, Christian faith, yoga, marksmanship, music synthesizers, and amateur radio. Ken designed and tested computer firmware in Minnesota at Honey-well/Alliant Techsystems, Integris, DataCard Group, and at Esterline AVISTA in Platteville, WI. Ken’s gentle and inquisitive nature will be deeply missed by his brothers Steven C. Tetrick of Minneapolis, Mark A. Tetrick (Cathy) of West Chester, OH. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Sunday, March 19, 12-3 PM (remembrances shared at 1 PM) at Elsie’s Banquet Hall, 729 Marshall St. NE Minneapolis and in Boscobel, WI in July.
