Peng, Chung-Hua Lee

May 31, 1918 – February 28, 2017
Passed away on February 28, 2017 in St. Paul, MN, 3 months short of her 100th birthday. Born in Jiansu Province, China to Dr. Xing-Shan Lee and Wong. Preceded in death by her husband Dr. Chi-Jui “Charles” Peng and grandson David; survived by son James (Carol) and two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Lee received her B.S. in chemistry from National Zhejiang University (U.); subsequently she attended Kent State U., Columbia U. and the U. of Hong Kong where she earned a PhD in Biochemistry after receiving M.S. degrees. She held teaching and research positions in the Enzyme Institute at the U. of Wisconsin, Peking U. and the U. of Hong Kong. She resided in St. Paul, Minnesota after her retirement. She was an avid history buff and attributed her good health and long life to taking large dosages of vitamin C daily. Interment at Riverview Cemetery in West St. Paul, Minnesota.
