Morgan, Raymond Allen
September 25, 1926 – November 19, 2016
At the age of 90, Ray passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Recently of Anoka, MN, Ray was born and raised in LaGrange, IL. He attended Wheaton College where he met and, in 1951, married June Scribner. They lived in West Chicago, IL until retirement when the call of grandchildren in Minnesota caused them to move up north. Ray had multiple careers and retired from General Mills. After 49 years of marriage, Ray was preceded in death by his lovingly devoted wife June. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary (Rimerman) Morgan, brother, Robert Morgan and infant son, Randall Morgan. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Morgan, daughter Janet (Brian) Dantzig, son Roger (Rachel) Morgan and son Richard (Cheri Sperr) Morgan. He enjoyed having 7 grandchildren: Ryan (Mandi), Rhonda, Robert (Madeleine), Victoria, Paul, Julia and Heather and 4 great grandchildren: Cody, Tanner, Trinity and Afton. Ray is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ray loved the call of the open road and visited all 50 states and each Canadian province and territory. He was interested in keeping up with current events, playing Scrabble with family and reading his Bible. He firmly believed in Jesus and the family is at peace knowing he is now with his Lord. Memorials preferred to Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. Plans for a memorial service are pending.
