Graduate of the University of Minnesota. Heroes come in many shapes and sizes. Paul’s heroism will fade into the past with only small ripples through the fabric of time. Yet he gave us valuable lessons in humility, perseverance and suffering. The medical problems that Paul faced would have devoured most of us long ago. Paul soldier on. Nothing could end Paul. Paul died on the night of St. Patrick’s day. St. Patrick: once said: “Daily I expect to be murdered or betrayed or reduced to slavery if the occasion arises. But I fear nothing, because of the promises of heaven.” Paul never gave up hope, never gave up his faith and never gave up on life. In our memories he has become a beacon of love and hope. St. Patrick got special dispensation to bring a curly red hair Irish boy home. Paul was an avid pyrotechnician he created numerous firework display all over the country. Look for astronomical events to pop up in the night sky in the coming months. Stars exploding, comets colliding or massive sun spots. Those who knew Paul will understand.
