Erwin, Mary Ramona (nee Neitzel)

April 6, 1926 – September 5, 2016
Age 90 of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully on September 5th surrounded by family. Born and raised in Falls City, Nebraska during the Great Depression; she played drums in the high school band, graduated with honors and was editor of the yearbook. She married Jim Erwin during World War II and raised four children while attending college at the University of Minnesota with a degree in English, Literature, Speech and Theater. After working at the 3M Research Library, she decided to move to California in her early 50s and taught special education in South Central Los Angeles near Watts. After almost 30 years, she moved back to Minnesota. She is survived by her four children; Jimmy, Jan, Kenny, and Diane; along with several grandchildren and even more great grandchildren. She also loved the theater, cooking, reading, writing poetry, swimming, growing roses, knitting, and most of all spending time with family.
