Age 68 of Blaine, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend peacefully went to be with our gracious Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2016, at the age of 68. Louise will be laid to rest alongside of her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. A private ceremony is scheduled for family and friends on Friday, March 11 at 12:00pm. Born November 16, 1947 to Mary and Stephen Retner in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Louise was the youngest of four children. She met and married her husband Glenn Thomas in 1972 and had one daughter, Michele VanOrden. Louise worked for GlaxoSmithKline for over 20 years, retiring in 2010. After retirement, Louise moved to Minnesota to reside near her daughter and son-in-law. A few years after her move to Minnesota Louise helped welcome her first grandchild to the world. Louise was the kindest, most generous, loving and humble woman you could meet in life. She always walked by faith and remained positive and compassionate through all of life’s trials and adventures. She will forever be remembered for her loving heart, loyal friendship, devotion to family and her amazingly kind and generous spirit. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Thomas, parents, Mary and Stephen Retner and sisters, Joyce Sandoli and Eunice Perosa. She is survived by her daughter, Michele, son-in-law, Jon, grandson, Talon, brother, Glen, and nephew, Chris.
