Smith, Kendall Edison

January 19, 1929 – December 24, 2015
Age 86 of St. Cloud and Waite Park, the son of Ernest and Mina Smith and longtime resident of St. Cloud and Waite Park, Minnesota, passed away on December 24, 2015. Kendall Smith was born in Beresford, South Dakota on January 19, 1929. He attended Custer High School in South Dakota and graduated from Orange City Senior High School in Orange City, Iowa. He attended the University of South Dakota. After serving in the Navy, he worked as a salesman for the Campbell’s Soup Company for more than 40 years. He was exceptional at his job, highly respected within his business community, and received numerous sales awards. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. bHe was an avid hunter and fisherman, mostly enjoying the camaraderie among family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and giving his vegetables/fruits to seniors at the St. Cloud Senior Center. He was a huge Vikings fan and enjoyed all sports in general. His true love was enjoying the great outdoors. From his family with love, we will miss “Fire Ball Smith”. He is survived by his sister Susan Ambur (Robert) of Beresford, South Dakota and brother W. Pierce Smith (Helen) of Maplewood, MN; his children: Deborah Perry (Jeffory) of Naples, FL, Kevin Smith (Karren) of Waseca, MN, Jason Smith (Michele) of Metairie, LA; and his grandchildren: Jacob Smith and Hannah Smith of Waseca, MN.
