Age 85 of Stillwater. Preceded in death by father, William A. Miller and mother, Elsa Miller. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Anita (Made); children, David R. (Jo) of Tucson, AZ, Karen D. (Gary Rittenhouse) of Tucson, AZ, Steven A. (Carmen) of Mahtomedi, MN; grandchildren, Jenna (Daniel) Dahlberg, Laura Miller; 3 great-grandchildren; and dog Nelli. He loved to do things with his wife and children: working together to build 3 homes and 2 lake homes; traveling, cruises, camping; fishing & hunting; snowmobiling; working at church; Boy Scouts; children’s music lessons & sports, of their choice. He loved driving the boat while the children waterskied and encouraged them to bring their friends with for the weekend. The birds, bears, and deer brought him joy. Woodworking was a hobby as well as gardening and maintaining our property. He also restored cars with his children, and taught them to maintain their cars, with his wife nearby. Robert worked as an engineer; 13 years at Nobles Tool & Die and 37 years at UFE & Kroy Ind. Plastic Molding. Thanks to Lakeview Hospital Hospice and Medical Staff at Stillwater, MN, and Regions Hospital and Medical staff. Memorial Service 11am Thursday December 17 at Christ Lutheran Church, 11194 36th St N, Lake Elmo, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior at 10am. Memorials preferred to Masonic Cancer Center University of Minnesota, and Christ Lutheran Church, Lake Elmo, MN.
