Age 97 of Rush City, MN. Veteran of World War II, one of eight children to William Cooper and Alma Morton Cooper. Preceded in death by wife Olivia. Survived by daughter Laura Moore; grandchildren Calvin, Jillian, Cassandra; great granddaughter Stella; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He taught art at Minnehaha Academy and several schools in MN and WI, including classes for Native American children by Lake Superior. His beautiful oil paintings hang in churches and private homes. Funeral service 1:30 pm Sunday, Nov. 30 at Living Waters Fellowship Church, 915 W. 8th St., Rush City, MN. Graveside service Thursday, Dec. 4, 10:45 am Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, gate 2, assembly area 4. Reception to follow.
