Baird, Kelvin Lee “Kelly”

July 5, 1953 – February 20, 2015
Age 61 of Pine City, MN, passed away Feb. 20, 2015, peacefully, after a long battle of difficult illnesses. Kelly was born July 5, 1953. He was originally from Cadillac, Michigan, and formerly resided in Pine City. He is preceded in death by his father Gail T. Baird Sr. and his mother Marlene A. Baird (Campbell), step mother Betty Ann Baird (Ericks). Kelly is survived by siblings: Jeff and Karen Baird, Kim and Kimberly Baird, Dan and Darla Baird, Renee Baird and fiancee Steve Boe, Gail T. Jr. and Shawn Baird, step sister Tina and Tim Ohlert, Jeffrey and Renee Baird; several nephews and nieces, including several great nephews and nieces, and many friends. Kelly worked as a construction worker for many years doing siding and remodeling, until his health would no longer allow him. Kelvin will always be remembered as an avid hunter. He truly loved fishing with his nephews and family members. He enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking, and watching a good Western movie. Kelly enjoyed a good fish fry, and grilling out, camping, and sitting around the fire with family and friends. He especially loved sharing a good game of cribbage, or a game of cards with his nephew Josh and his wife Rikki, whom Kelly had a special bond with, and lived with for several years. Kelly’s friendly personality and contagious laugh will be deeply missed. A private Celebration of Kelly’s Life will be when we can enjoy the Great Outdoors that Kelly so enjoyed.
