Age 64 of Golden Valley, MN, passed away from cancer on October, 30 2013. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Gayle (Hansen); children, Jared (Savanna) and Rachel; siblings, Gregory (Connie), Susan Roudebush, and Sara (Carl) Freytag. Kimon was a member of the Air Force NORAD band from 1971-74 and later graduated from Indiana University School of Music. He worked in telecommunications including AT&T for 15 years. Besides his family, Kimon’s true love was music. He started playing trombone when he was 10 years old and most recently with the UU Jazz Band, the Maple Grove Jazz Band and the Stan Bann Big Band. Memorials preferred to the UU Jazz Band or the American Cancer Society . Memorial Celebration will be held on Friday, Nov. 8 at 2 PM with a gathering one hour prior at the First Universalist Church, 3400 Dupont Ave S., Minneapolis.
