Morin, Merle Deyne

July 24, 1934 – September 22, 2014
Age 80 of New Hope, born July 24th, 1934 in the township of Burbank in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota to Anthony and Hazel Morin. He met Joan M. Peterson of Rosendale, MN on a “blind-date” at beautiful Green Lake in Spicer, MN and have been inseparable during their 57 years of marriage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, hunting, fishing, sports, music, the outdoors, travel, and taking care of his yard. Merle is survived by his wife Joan Morin; son, Michael Morin; two daughters, Jennifer and (her husband Kevin Kuhne, Marie Duncan; Ten grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Brittany, Megan, Stephanie, Samantha, Gabrielle, Emmanuelle, Gideon and Simeon; brother Robert Morin, sister, Patricia Netland; nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death his parents, Anthony and Hazel Morin; brothers Lloyd Morin and Donald Morin; nephews Steven Morin, Gregory Wigfield, Tony Wigfield, Jeffrey Morin; and niece Kathy Netland. Merle’s family would like to give a special thank you and gratitude to the caring staff from North Memorial Hospice and the Hubert H. Humphrey Cancer Center.
