Leithe, Alby Ingus

September 7, 1927- August 18, 2014
Age 86 of St. Paul, formerly of Eden Prairie. Passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014 into the arms of his Lord and Savior. Preceded in death by brothers Marvin and Einar; parents Martin and Inga. Survived by wife of nearly 60 years Janice; daughters Joni and Susan; sister Laurella Thompson and extended family and friends. Born in Fertile to Norwegian immigrant parents, Alby was proud of his heritage, maintaining close ties with family in Norway. He served in the US Navy during WWII. In his long career as a chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant, he won numerous industry awards and took great pride in faithfully serving his clients. He will be deeply missed for his loving kindness, unfailing support, eternal optimism and enthusiasm for experiencing other cultures and history through travel. The family would like to express their gratitude to the skilled staff at Lyngblomsten Care Center for their compassion towards Alby. Funeral Service, 11AM Mon., August 25, Visitation 10AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 104 Snelling Ave S, St. Paul. Interment 1:45 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area #2.
